My halloween monster mask collection

Picked up this bad boy at Spirit Halloween. I wanted this last year but sold out before I had the chance to buy it!

Possessed Pumpkin from Ghoulish Productions.

Spirit sells it for $40 but I can see me buying it at $80 or more. It's a very well done high end mask comparable to indie masks. Ghoulish is really keeping the Halloween mask industry alive with their quality products. The tots and Ghoulish masks to the others at Spirit is a night and day difference. Mask collecting can still be affordable and enjoyable!

I do have on order a mask from Paul at Dark Side, Nosferatu classic! It is nice to have an Indie mask come in once in a while!

New score. TOTS H78. Worked with the hair to get it as close to the style of the screen hair. It's not perfect, due to placement of some of the hair, but it really makes Justin's new sculpt shine!

I styled it and locked it in place with spray paint. The hair wasn't as dark as I see it in H1.

I would give this mask an 8/10. It's a really really good effort for a mass produced mask. The blue shading looks odd and the weathering looks brushed on in places thus the 8. But the sculpt from Justin imo makes the price worth it. It really is screen accurate to the worn castle look. The stock photo on TOTS website really is very bad compared to how it really looks in person. Now the price, Spirit Halloween sells this for $69.99. I know it's cheaper on line but with a few copies in hand I was able to cherry pick the best copy. It came down to the hair. It varies quite a bit from each one and this one had the best placement and coverage. No bold spots were showing when I styled it. I felt the extra $10+ was worth it for that reason.

I plan on getting a refinished copy down the road as well. Now the pics!

hey, good to see something other than the usual fare on here, great collection of masks, all look to be in great shape to, thanks for sharing

shame on the don posts, but the rest of them are looking good

At least that's how I received them by sellers who don't know any better. The Syngenor was advertised as new old stock and received disappointment. The seller was kind enough to refund half my money.

So my collection had a 1976 DP skull for a day

This package was suppose to be my '81 DP reptilia but the packages got swapped from the seller. My mask arrives tomorrow from the skull guy! I'm excited.

1981 Don Post Reptilia arrived today! This was one is truly special since he is made of black latex. Don Post quit using black latex in the 80s. This makes my second black latex mask with my 1977 Quasimodo.

Don Post 1987 Worm Wood

This is one of their masks that suffered from their financial hardship in the mid to late 80s. The front of the mask looks fantastic while the back remains unpainted. They did away with the black latex in favor of colored latex to help save on paint and boy I can say they really skimped on a lot of paint. This mask has a beautiful sculpt.
