My finished Snowtrooper! (updated with weathering)

Many thanks to Mr. Laws and jdpilot without whom I would have never been able to attain this. Jackdoud for your help over at blizzard force and getting me my gloves. All of your help is immensely appreciated. I can't believe I've been dragging my feet on this for 3 years, but it's just hard to keep chugging away sometimes. I still have to do the straps for the boots, which is why you don't see them in the pics ;) and I have to weather it.....no it will not be a clean trooper:cool

Here are the first shots of my suit up. The E-11 is my real sterling. I hope to have a mannequin to display this on as I have my other costumes.

EDIT: These are the new pics with the boots and weathering. I can't believe how much washed out with the flash on, but oh well... I did remove all traces of the boot D-rings and catches. I used Createx water based airbrush colors for the weathering on the duster and belt bags. I'll have it displayed with my real Sterling. Everything else has real grime & dirt on it. It'll display well once I get a mannequin that I like.

Re: My "finished" Snowtrooper!!!

very nice, I'm working on a Biker Suit myself right now.....I would love to see pics of your other suits there...

Re: My "finished" Snowtrooper!!!

Oh yes! Weather it up!!!

One other suggestion, for the pouches, I'd say fill them up to fluff them out a bit. I used a folded up T-shirt in each one, and it really works out! Also another option for the forearm pieces, use some elastic w/ velcro on the far end to hold the armor close to your arm. It will make it much more comfortable and stable for ya.

Thanks for the kudos on the room. My Fett jumpsuit was made by Katarra Kreations over 10 years ago. I do believe that she has fallen off the map as far as costumes go. A good provider these days is Lonestar over at TDH.

Re: My "finished" Snowtrooper!!!

Looking great there bud!

Thanks man! Without the top of the line soft parts of yours it would have never made it this far as I had almost sold it.

tubachris, I definitely have a plan on keeping the gauntlets in place. I wanted to have it done prior to suiting up, but couldn't resist once I had things this far along :D
