I have been working on my Fine Molds Tie Fighter the last few days and am almost done. Here are some progress shots and although the decals are not on yet, and it is not weathered, I think it turned out pretty well

Thats awesome! I'm gonna have to tackle those Fine Molds kits eventually!

They are definately worth the investment. I am having to resist the urge to buy another X-Wing.

Fantastic job man! Those little bugers are really detailed, I guess I'll have to try one of these as well as their x-wing, it's just that they are SO SMALL. But man the detail seems right on.
I was wondering, during my faclon buildup, I attempted to open up the gun turet window and failed, ultimatley scraping the piece and did not attemp it on the other (worked out OK though as I will not be using the bottom turret window 'cause of the display rod) anyway, is the tie's window frame close enough in appearence and scale to use as a replacment? FM's might be two small, but the Ertl two tie set might be OK. Would hate to get it just to find out it's too big/small.

Very cool! I've resisted getting either FM TIE kit because I've got so many unfinished kits now... I want to do a diorama of two TIEs, probably using Interceptors in a launch tunnel like in the TIE Fighter PC game.
