My (finally finished) ROTJ Solo Blaster

Thanks, everyone. Glad you all like how it turned out. It was fun (and a major pain) to mod. Some day, I'd like to get my hands on an MGC or a real Mauser and mod that up. The ROTJ blaster IS a cool blaster look, and I do like it better than the ESB by far, and even more than the ANH version. It just has a cool look to it.

Great build. Its nice to see some one take the trouble to fit real wood grips. As for that pin, I usually use a Dremel cut-off wheel to make it so it isn't noticeable. I don't fill the hole, I just contour the pin to match the groove.

WOW! That is fantastic. I bout the stuff to do all of my blasters years, and years, ago, back when most people were using dinex's, and not complaining so much about it, or doing so much great work to make them look real. Now, here I am years later, I still haven't got around to finishing mine, and every one keeps out doing, even my best plans for building up mine. :lol

How the heck is every one doing that awsome Mag detail on the bottom? I can't get mine Milled, is there a hardware way?

Thanks! And Ham, I'm glad you like it too. I know you're the biggest fan of this blaster style.

The back details involved drilling a hole through the back where I wanted the release tab opening, and once I did that, I used small files to square it off. I made the release out of two small pieces of plastic cut and sanded to shape and glued in. The bottom mag detail is a flat piece of brass cut to shape and glued on after I drilled and shaped the inset hole for the release button, which is a small hex screw filled in and sanded smooth. A little filler around the edge of the mag plate to hide the thin edge of the brass and it was all done.

Looks like I was floating around the wrong area! I need to start my ROTJ blaster. Any words of advice??
I posted a new topic to see if anyone had the deminsions for the ROTJ scope mount, or if anyone had an extra up for grabs. Any help would be great. ALready got my ANH and ESB blasters, so i gotta finish off the set! Feel free to PM me with any info!
