My Doctor Who Scarf!

Minute update. I haven't actually slept in 28 hours, and it looks like I won't be able to sleep again tonight without the aid of meds ... I can't figure it out. However, in that time, I've managed to knit a foot and a half.

I'd add a picture, but photobucket's being a brat and not cooperating with me. I even tried bribing it with a cookie, but it just kept refusing to upload.

I didn't sleep last night either, opted instead to watch the whole series of The Walking Dead.

Making this scarf, I want to do a full 4th Doctor costume, feminized, of course. Any reference pics of the rest of his costume? I want to do a sketch before I go bargain hunting.

That was my favorite of Romana's costumes, just because I liked the idea of it so much.

I like it to! .. On her! ... On me, pink looks .... bad.

Whenever I actually do Romana, I might actually do this with the pink. That's not the concept I'm going for with The Doctor.

I think a feminized 4th Doctor costume would be great! Less frumpy, more updated and flattering cut for a lady. I LIKE IT!

After MUCH procrastination, here are some pictures of the scarf!

The length.

Since I realized about halfway through just how inaccurate it was, I'm remaking it. That's right, starting from the beginning again. However, I like the new scarf better.

Also, I wore my Femme Doctor getup the other night and I'm still looking for pictures. Be patient with that.

I used to have a scarf, but not sure whatever happened to it from one move to another.

That's good work.

I finally got around to uploading stuff. None of them are pictures of the whole costume, but you get the idea.

First up: I was basically pulled off towards the TARDIS cut out and had a picture snapped of me. I had no time to get my scarf right, take my Firefly hat off, ANYTHING. Though, you do see the Jelly Babies.

Next: A slightly better picture of me and my Sonic. You can see my closet costume a little better, too. The scarf is also draping the right way.

Finally: I just liked this picture. There was a comment on it saying I looked like Rose Tyler, and those who know the story of me and that character will know why I wasn't thrilled to hear it. I love the character, but ... Well, that takes a lot of explaining. If you want to know more, message me.

So, there you go. Tell me what you think.

I think it looks great. I'd say you look more like Lalla Ward than Billie Piper, though I suppose new series fans have Rose more on their brains than Romana. It shows my advanded age to say what a crush I had on Romana, even if she was what, 120-125 years old I think she once said?

I suggest a tailored outfit like the one Romana wore with the white long scarf rather mocking the 4th Doctors frock coat and outfit, but it need not be pink as I think hers was with a white scarf. Perhaps jacket, vest and pants that pick out the best colors you think from the scarf itself? Or various shades of charcoal and gray so the scarf is the color to the outfit?

No doubt you'll come up with something smashing. Great work so far.

Well, I have to admit, it feel GREAT to have the compliments! I need to be better about checking this forum, too.

As for the actual costume I'll be working on, I want to do an imitation of Tom Baker's look, and I hope to get to work on it once I find another job.
