My DL-44 Build Up

Seems like everyone does one of these at one point or another. I believe mine is a Wilco model, and required waaaay more work than I was expecting; a lot off modding just to get the parts to fit together and there were sooo many air holes. About half of the scope alone is bondo, there was no sense in trying to fill all the big pockets so I just ground it all down and built it back up. Oh well, I guess thats part of the fun?

I think it looks ok, although I'm really excited to start a Blast-Tech very soon...

I never get tired of seeing DL-44 build ups. Nice work!.:thumbsup. I have the same kit, although the mauser I have is not the bull barrel version. I'm wondering if my kit was a slightly earlier version, as looking at your scope bracket, it seems to have some extra detail which allows it to lock into place. Again, great work on this.

Wow, that came out great. I'll build one (eventually) but I think I'm going to use an airsoft C96 Mauser as the base and buy a mod kit.

My model varied a bit from the one shown in the build (barrel already cut down, no sliding feature- had to dremel out)

It was a fun build. After I build a small display for it, it's on to the next project.

Great job Lindy. I've got a Wilco model coming to me this week, but I had Bill finish it for me. These look great finished. I'll post pictures when I get it. It'll be nice to compare paint and models.

I'm a bit surprised as Wilco's stuff is usually very clean, at least the kits I've gotten from him were. Still, you have made a masterpiece of that kit. It looks amazing! :thumbsup
