I had pre-ordered the Denix MG-34 as it's one of my absolute favorite blasters! I got no notice it had shipped, it was just on my porch when I came home from work! I had completely forgotten about ordering it too. Denix are nice inexpensive semi "real looking" replicas, but they don't clean up the castings well and they simply love black paint. I decided to file off all the casting seams and sand off most the paint leaving only the vented barrel, bi-pod, & trigger section original paint & use Alma Bluing to get a bit more of an authentic look. The bluing of the pot metal requires a few passes with 0000 steel wool in between. I asked Ryan Clinton to laser engrave my stock with the Imperial Cog, AnH77, and 2187 as he did to his then painted it black, added a little paint to the trigger settings & rear sight, added T tracks, wire, Michell disc, and I added aluminum threaded inserts to the underside of the top breach, made an aluminum box & blind screwed it to the upper portion so it was solid and wouldn't rattle. These are so large it makes it difficult to photo well. Here's how it came out!
