I'm split on who to submit for this year's Halloween Entry. I have created both costume's for my 7 year old son and 4 year old daughter. They both won in our village' Halloween costume so any of them can be a good candidate. Anyway, I decided to enter my daughter's costume as I think it's unique than some of the costume I created (which is mostly super heroes ie. ironman etc.). For this year, we chose Vanellope while we were watching reruns of Wreck it Ralph in HBO. This is going to be toll order since I know I had to create her race car.
It took me 4 weeks to build the car and what I initially planned is for my 4 year old daughter to carry it via strap. Unfortunately, my calculations were wrong and it ended up being too big and heavy for her. Fortunately, I got a better idea late in the process where I found an old scooter and it ended being the base of the costume.

For the design, we used a mix of big beads and real candies. We got an old jar of jelly beans and some colorful twigs which is a good alternative for gummy worms. For Color, I used spray paint and some acrylic paints. For the actual car, I use rubber foam.
For Vanellope's costume. My wife used an old jacket with Vanellope's colors plus some extra long socks.

For her hair, we copied from the actual movie using some beads that look like candies.

Here are the pictures from the Trick or Treat.

Here's a video of her riding the car.

Finally here's the proof.

Just for reference, here's the costume of my 7 yr old as Antman. I hope I made the right decision. Lol.
