My Bumblebee

hi izabel. omel here, "pinoy" as well, i made a bumblebee costume as well but mine belongs in the junkyard, hehe, cyback had a chance to see it during the PS3 launch in glorietta, thats where i first saw the WM costume , i was blown away,( my first attempt at cosplay, made the costume only as a favour for one of my "inaanak", wanted bumblebee to appear at his 7th bday party, by chance i came across the invitation for the ps3 launch while researching the net for the likeness of bumblebee and decided to have a go at it, it was fun!) made it out of common household items, ( cardboard boxes, plastic water bottles, discarded toy parts, tons of duct tape , canned spray paint and hotglue) ( posted a pic in cosplay.ph btw), he told me that the material of choice ( for cosplayers) here in the Phillipines is foam assisted rubber, will probably redo mine with proper materials, i stand at 6 ft, and when wearing the costume i gain about a foot more. when i finally wore it at my "ina-anak's" bday party the kids were all amazed thats why i'm really considering making one that can be worn more than a few times. hehe, the costumes you guys make are really awesome, hope to make mine even just a bit as good as yours, kudos to you, regards to cyback. mabuhay

aha! so it was you. you posted it in c.ph right? :) yeah, cyback told us about you. we were surprised to hear that someone made a bee too. robert's the only one who has it. we saw your pictures and they were great. robert loved your feet (or your bee's feet for that matter).lol. we were thinking of going to the ps3 event but decided to go to PCC instead.

haha. thanks, will inform you guys if i do get around to re-making my "bee", thinking of making him taller/bigger ( with the proper materials and better scale this time). hehe, (btw another inaanak is asking me to be "bee" at his bday)

cool. :D

Seriously, this is intense. How difficult would you say it is working with the rubber sheeting? (And even better question, how is wearing it? I'm assuming it must be easier than plastic lol)

I'll certainly be keeping a lookout for updates on this, it already is totally bad-A.

it's pretty easy compared to casting, molding & sculpting. yup, it's also easier than plastic. he wears it by part. :)

Dang!!! Looks great. My son loved it
