my BATGIRL photoshoot.. pic heavy

Great costume.

I couldn't help thinking from your profile pic, and from the shot of your eyes in this pic that you resembled Uma Thurman:

Dont know if you still resemble her when you have your full face exposed, but if you do, then that could be another great costume avenue - either Ivy, or maybe Kill Bill :)

Great costume! You look like an action figure come to life.

And I say keep the heels. They fit in quite well with the rest of the costume.

What was the material you used in the costume? I can't quite place the look. Part of me wants to say latex, part of me wants to say spandex. Heck, I even want to say leather at some point.

(Oh -- do you have the cool motorcycle, too?) ;)
The body suite is a type of wet look spandex.. it's the best way I can describe it since there's no tag.. it was giving to me as a gift from my b/f.

Great costume and pics! I know Batgirl doesn't use black makeup around the eyes, but I wonder if it wouldn't make your suit stand out more if you tried it. It would certainly make your eyes stand out a lot more if you wore colored contacts.
My eyes are naturally brown.. I am wearing blue colored contacts.. and no to the black around the eyes.. since I modeled this costume from Alex Ross version.

Great costume! I think you just became my favorite BatGirl ever!

I do have a couple of thought though. In the fierce fighting pose the forehead of the cowl matches the expression, but in the second shot it looks more masculine and less flattering. I wonder if the arch of the eyebrows of the cowl might look more flattering if they were closer to being right over your irises instead of arching basically past the outside of each eye?

From the stand point of your BatGirl being in a fight I wonder if there is a way to incorporate a more Batman like nose? I'm not sure that any batgirl has had that sort of cowl with the nose covered, but it seems more logical that we'd want the bad guy to have among his other injuries broken knuckles instead of BatGirl having a broken nose! Something about it seems to be just off and not flattering your face like it could be.

Also I wonder what an a slightly alternate look more like the Dark Knight look might be with the base costume you have - black gloves, black Bat emblem and black boots with a regular sole and heel? Maybe a more golden metal look to the belt with that golden lining to the cape you have and as badass as you look now, I think you'd look even more badass! If all that metallic gold was somewhat reddish gold to match your hair color even better!

I think the only thing that could top the look of this suit is to see what it would be like to see you in an segmented armor Dark Knight sort of look.

I hope you won't stop with just this suit!
The cowl was a one piece that I had to cut and modify in order for it to fit me.. If not then the shoulder piece would sit above the shoulders due to the small neck line. It's still not a perfect fit and it tends to move around some.. that's why the shoots you see the brow in different positions.

Well, I've told you before how great you look in the costume.
However...
I know it's just my being nitpicky, but why do (many) women choose to wear stacked heels when wearing a costume? Obviously no self respecting crime fighter would ever wear something like this for jumping, climbing and fighting. Granted, they look sexy, but to me it just throws the whole look off. When my girl does Batgirl, it's a constant struggle to get her to wear flat boots while her wanting to wear platforms. Depending on the mood, sometimes I win! :lol
Regardless, you still look fantastic for the character. :thumbsup

Heals are staying!!

OK comic books fans... lighten up!! This is just for fun and for conventions.. I don't plan on going out into the streets and become an actual vigilante.. LMFAO :lol:lol:lol

Thanks you all for your comments and constructive criticisms.. but this costume will stay as is.. no more mods or improvements will be done to it. I LOVE it the way it is.. and if or when you get to see this in person.. you'll understand why :)

And YES.. I will be at MegaCon 2011 :thumbsup

Nice update.

Keep up the great work Mystique.

Ah, cool. I may have to try to find that stuff. I have a few shelves full of random fabric as well (I do a lot of medieval stuff), and we have a saying: "Who dies with the most fabric wins." ;)

I think it was more of a "rant" about ladies in comics with unreal heels, not a slam on your work. Like I said, it is full of win and you pull it off well, Fun-Size!

Looks great! Since the cowl is a tad bit big on you, have you considered putting in some foam pieces to help keep it in place?

You rocked it, hun! Nicely done! Happy new year and hope to see you sometime again soon!
