My Bandai Snowspeeder completed

I had a few free days, so decided to try and knock this out relatively quick from my stash of OT SW Bandai kits. As usual with Bandai, the quality was excellent, but I was still surprised how little it was. I still remember the MPC one being at least twice as big. I loosely based the scrapes and weathering on Luke's but it's not my any means accurate and more a loose interpretation. I ditched the Bandai stand and created my own simple diorama out of Plaster-of-Paris, a real rock and some gloss coats and clear resin which i think looks much better. Not sure if I'll keep the canopy glass off or on, thankfully it's pretty easy to pop on or off. I might clean up the the black base meets the white snow but for now i think i can cross this one off the list. Thanks for looking!

Hey - I broke my stand :( Any tips to make a new one? - Is that a coat hanger?

Mine was just bendable metal/wire I believe I purchased it from Hobby Lobby. The stand was just a wooden stand I sculpted snow into and then drilled a hole to fit the metal stand. Good luck!

ok thanks!
The stand was just a wooden circular stand that I think they also sell at hobby lobby but anything would work. You could probably buy some nice sturdy wire at Ace hardware or any hardware store too. The speeder isn't very heavy

Do you remember the diameter and were you able to secure it so it could be removed from the stand or did you just superglue it or something?

Just friction, the wire I use was the exact width of the hole where the standard stands would fit under the speeder. It was snug, no glue needed in case I needed to pop it off. Nothing fancy
