My attempt to make armor out of silicone!

Thanks sweety!

Got some progress on the Witchblade! I just realized I'm going to need footwear, so I think I'll hold off from painting it and work on some shoes until I can make the proper boots :)

What are the bands running horizontally around the build? I assume they are for reinforcement of the silicone, but you've grabbed my interest with your creativity. Of the few builds I've seen done in silicone, it looks like a great medium for really organic and fluid projects...

Oh here's a photo before I pack up the Witchblade. I HOPE the costume survives the trip T_T

Are you kind of just "slopping" the silicone onto your base model,
or is there actually conscious sculpting going on?

I ask because - even if it's a "slop job," the costume pieces (based on the character images) actually lend themselves nicely to looking ... well ... "sloppy." (and by "sloppy," I do not mean messy or poorly done
- hope that makes sense).

In other words, it's continuing to look FANTASTIC !!!

Keep up the great work !!!

Just flew into Atlanta! No zombies yet...

Okay, so the plan is to find a hotel, finish Witchblade, finish shoes, paint, weather, seal, and them post pics! If I can't find a hotel, I'm protecting my luggage for dear life! I do NOT want to lose my Witchblade!

They're a few blocks away, corner of Forsyth and Marietta. At least that's where they shot the first season Atlanta episodes. I work in that big white building, sadly I missed filming though because they did it during a weekend. The tank was parked right by Panamerica, which if you're that way, is a great place to get decent real food for super cheap.

Wow have to admit I didn't think this was gonna come out good but I was wrong this looks awesome can't imagine this being improved upon by anything really!

Okay, so it's 5am, STILL working on the shoes, but they're coming out better than I expected and I'm almost done with the detailing :D

Man that "front side done" photo, at that size, is juuuuuust this side of NSFW (my monitor faces a well-traveled section of my floor here at the office). But it really is an incredible job. Also love the organic detail added to the shoes!

DragonCon is in 2 days is this your primary costume or do you have a back up ?
wild you are there and have 2 days lol no pressure:)

Back at the airport, waiting for the bf to arrive ^_^

Oh! I got a hot glue gun at WalMart (only store open with a hot glue gun at 4am) and though the price is enticing, do NOT get their hot glue gun. Crappiest gun, doesnt work, randomly spills out glue and takes longer to heat up. Uber lame. I already knew I wasn't getting quality or even a little bit, but I was expecting it to at least ne functional. Grrrrrrrrrrrr...

Sorry, tried to finish the claws for the Witchblade and the lack of a functional hot glue gun made my work time a lot longer

In other news! I just got started with a spray tan and I feel sticky...but golden :p
