Good idea with the silicone. Easily forms and hardens to your shape. I tried using silicone to make molds, but I was too impatient. Kudos to you Zelda.
I'll post more progress photos soon!
Something tells me that if she has the "balls" to post up a photo like that on here,2. perhaps I know the "wrong" women (i.e. women who wouldn't wear something like this in public :lol), but do you really have the balls to wear this at DragonCon, or will you have something like a cloak on top of that?
I could be wrong but after seeing the pics again I believe the blue material is being worn as well, just painted flesh tones.
Those would have to be the cleanest seams in the world.
To my trained eye :lol everything definitely looks like real flesh.

Great start! This is one of those costumes that it would be very easy to be scared off from, because it has a lot of what I call "Fiddly Bits." (Tiny sections that could easily get messed up or go horribly wrong once you try to wear it)
But it looks like you're pulling it off amazingly. Raciness of the costume aside, the work you've done on this is wonderful, considering the precision required for certain aspects and all the fiddly bits involved.
Can I ask what type of silicone you're using? Is it a Smooth-On product, Sugru, Caulk, other? I'm just curious because it definitely has a "hand formed" look to it.
Great job so far. Can't wait to see this thing all finished.
