My animated ARF clone build

In the beginning it started with this kit... as a searched for 2 months deciding on a costume to be a part of the 501st. I finally decided to make a season 4 clone, but with my own modifications that i wanted. Through out this thread i will be posting pictures of the construction phase.

The start of trimming the armor for a custom fit....

Helmet trimmed and forearms ready...

2 months of trimming and gluing using CA glue with a kicker (amazing stuff!) the armor for a custom fit, its primmed and ready for paint.......

Fitting the KAMA .....

Assembling and fitting the Suspenders to the cod piece to hold the weight of the armor...

All parts painted....

Assembled and painted the Pauldron.....

The shoes, had to have the soles ground down flat for standards...

Helmet with the base coat of black paint......

Helmet with the striping painted on, took over 4 hours just to tape out the paint!

I decided to put electronics in the forearm piece, installed a temperature sensor and an IPod nano.....

Nice little touch here! Added rechargeable X-MINI speakers into the detonator on the belt piece! Came out quite nicely! Have to watch the video to see the full effect...Video here....

Wasn't impressed with the original paint work, this time i went with automotive paints!
