My AMT AT-AT

Finished this a few days ago. I need to redo the snow around the base edges, but I'm happy with the way this has turned out. It's my first model buildup since I was probably 13 years old, so I think I've come a long way since then. The snow on the At-At is a mix of paint and baby powder. The snow on the base is taxidermy snow. If anyone wants a base I can make one for you. I hope you all like it I have had a lot of fun doing this project.

That looks awesome! Excellent paint work. Could you please tell me what colors you used? The snow looks realistic. :thumbsup

Sure can! Colors are really common and inexpensive. I did a gray primer (wal-mart brand) then brushed on some medium gray and wiped it off, smudged it, etc. Then I added black with different amounts of water on my brush. I smudged and wiped with that too. Sometimes I would let the black paint run down then gently dab it off. The snow came from a taxidermy website and the base was a cutting board from the dollar store. The snow comes in powder form and when wet its self adhesive bonds to whatever it's touching. I can lift the at-at up and the base goes with it! Glad you liked it!

SWEET AT AT man!

Can you give me some basic measurements for it please?
Also, got a link to where you bought the kit?

It's just your standard AMT/Ertl At-At kit. I got it for $4.98 at kaybee toys. They can be had frequently on eBay. I'm working on an At-St and Slave 1 right now!

I'm trying to decide whether to do hoth at-st or ROTJ at-st. Probably buy some railroad scene stuff and make an Endor one. Thanks again, glad somebody likes my at-at.
