My Aliens Pulse Rifle

I picked up the Airsoft Pulse Rifle kit from a fellow member here in a trade. It is a great kit! It has injection molded plastic parts that lock up nice and tight! I love how tight and solid it mounts up. Being molded in the correct color is awesome too, so no painting required.

The counter is sweet. When the clip is removed, it lights up as 00. When the clip is installed, it lights up as 95. The coolest feature is that it counts down as you shoot, per BB. That is awesome! I also really like the pump/shotgun feature. It has an aluminum sleeve in it that closes, hiding the grenade. Then you rack it back and it exposes the grenade. Now it didn't come with a grenade, it came with a plastic shotgun shell. I replaced that with an SD Studios grenade.

The stock has a working pin that allows you to move the stock and lock it in multiple positions, which is pretty cool. The shroud is plastic, and the plates are metal that hold it together.

I bought a Cybergun Thompson from Kapowee. It is mostly metal and very heavy! I bought it for $50, as a parts gun. It works, but was missing the charging handle. I called Kapowee, and they are sending me a new one, which is very nice!

The negatives: there are several inaccuracies but looks good! I do not like the stock on it, even though it has a couple of positions that lock it in place. The fact that it isn't 1 piece is disappointing. I don't like that you have to screw on a plastic buttpad on the stock. I wish someone offered a replacement. If anyone has a source for a replacement stock that will work in the airsoft, please let me know!!

Thanks fellas. I tried to PM him about one but haven't heard back. Does anyone know if he's still around? I hope all is okay, he's a talented guy!

He's always extremely busy, but I believe he's also just had a massive relocation of home, workshop, storage and everything.

Funny - I took delivery of mine at the weekend too! Mine's built on a Tokyo Marui M1A1. I'm looking forward to weathering it and to machining and installing an M40 grenade. I agree that the stock feels a bit fragile. Stapleton13's metal version is beautiful. I also find extracting the short mag pretty fiddly. I'm hoping to make up a mag with a replica cap attached, which will both make it easier and more movie accurate. Overall, despite its one or two shortcomings, I absolutely love it!

Thanks guys! I hope to get the rest of my parts in soon! :)

Thanks for the link Myron, that looks awesome!!
