There was some used armour that featured in the live action experience in the Trocadero centre in London on Ebay some time back. I went to London to go see it only to find it had closed Damm it!

Good patches are available, but I wanted to try my hand at my own vector based files to have them printed some time soon.

I have now changed the shoulder lamp bulb from LED (super bright via a 9V block but not accurate when switched off) to a normal spot bulb. It's powered via a model car racing battery pack and is actually really really bright, while also quite accurate to the kind of piece the movie-used lamps had.

Thanks, man! I use just a regular static mannequin with movable head and arms/hands.

I'm resurrecting this old thread of mine with a slew of recent pictures. In the last couple of month I wore the whole outfit to a couple of conventions and I wanted to share the squad of marines I did floor sweeps with. Don't see any xenomorphs in those pics? Thank us.

Where did you locate those patches? And excellent looking Kit!

They are made from files I made looking at as many pictures of the screen used patches I could find. I daresay they are 99% accurate to what you see in the film. They were printed and embroidered by a buddy of mine from the UK who also made the excellent BDUs and the armour kit seen here (plus a whole lot of different ALIENS and SW props and costumes).

Your armour looks really amazing, great work! I am slowly building mine and if it turns out anything like yours I'd be very happy. Im building a real part shoulder lamp at the moment!

can i ask what bulb anc battery you have used in yours? And how long does it last? I dont really want super bright leds as it doesn't look right imo.
Also what mannequin are you using? It looks very good.
