My 2nd suit WIP

if you think you are ever gonna take ur armour off than id highly reccomend a bunch of magnets. and the muscles are looking good

This guys knows his anatomy. How the suit coming along?

Thanks, I used to draw superhero's and read comics when I was younger, so I think that helped a lot lol...the suit should actually be finished to day, except for the perma-wet, but that's no biggie

Nice! Please post up more pics. I'm getting a bunch of heads and practicing my painting skills and testing paint materials on them. I may end up building entire suits with those designs on my Cetanu stories. I'm also thinking about Jogging and losing some flab around my gut so I don't look like a "retired Hunter"

YAY!!! After a very long and sleep deprived weekend, I have finished my skin! My original idea was to go with the Dead End pred's skin colors, but after some looking and thinking I went with something similiar to the P1 style, and I am glad I did. I used MonsterMakers Halloween White latex, mixed with a little water and tinted with just enough acrylic paint to take it from white to black, brown, or red or whichever color. My first few layers were brushed on with foam brushes, the colors were applied by tearing chunks out of the foam sheets and then simply "stipling" it on, just like you would for texture on a wall. After all is said and done I think I have about 7-10 layers of latex (including the base coats). I like it better than my first orange suit and I shouldn't have any problems with peeling paint because it is all latex (I hate repairs lol).....Anyway, enjoy

luv the colors!!

wat did u use to paint it??

Thanks Kari!! The base coat is Americana "camel", the red is Anita's "wine", the light brown is Anita's "chocolate brown", the dark brown is Americana "dark chocolate" and the black is Apple Barrel "gloss black".....too many damn colors lol

To be honest, the suit looks really good. The thumbnails look like Pro suits. With some decent paint job and armor on you can fool people!
Mr I suit here I come!

I could have took longer to paint it, but I was at my mom's house in her garage...so time was an issue. I may go back over the chest and abs with the camel color to fade out the red. Thanks for the compliments, I was trying to get a more realistic look out of the Mr. I method with the Flash suit, I guess I did lol. If you want some details on the building process, just let me know. I would love to see somebody use this method and turn out something way better than what I did.

I'm in China, I can get the 1 piece suit no problem but the latex paint stuff is tough. Foam & fabric glue should be ok.
Not that many people do latex suit cosplay, they do make their own fabric costumes. I've been trying to find casting latex but its tough.
So all the alternatives you post here are actually helpfull.

What kind of Latex did u use for the skin? Is it Liquid Latex? or raw casting Latex?

I got some household latex (they said it is) paint and painted over various fabrics, paper towel, burlap and a latex mask.
So far the latex mask if creased/stretched to its extreme still has some tiny cracks. Wondering if you can point the way.

awesome work jaded i cant wait to see the 3rd suit wip lol awesome work buddy i love the way that the muscle structure come out getting that right i found a lot of trouble with but looks to me you hit it off to a tea cant wait to see the competed suit

Made the base for my feet tonite....Went back over to my mom's and used the garage.....(I want a garage )....Anyway, I basically used the same set-up as another member (don't know who actually) used for his and got 6-1/2" lifts. So without the mask or bio I am around 6'-3" to 6'-4" range . I am going to use the same method used to create my muscles to create my feet. I can see it working in my mind's eye, but we will see lol....here is the pic

Watching this part closely, have had no idea how to do feet without buying latex ones. Hope it works out so I can do the same!

Well here is my attempt at covering the shoe and wood. This was extremely long for what it is....about 4 hours just cutting and gluing for one foot! Anyway, all of the pics I take make the foot look completely horrible so I posted the best of the batch. I made places for claws on the toes, back side, left side coming down from the ankle, and another coming out from the inner side of the foot. The claws will be made with sculpt and bake clay (black). I know it looks kinda funky now, but the open section will be covered with armor and with the addition of the claws, armor, veins, bumps, latex and paint it should look respectable, but nothing comparable to what you can get from Chuck, Mannowar, or Biohunter76. Opinions? Thoughts?

Been a while since my last update...I had not 1 but 2 21st b-days to celebrate the last two weekends...so anyway..what I have is the foam stage of my feet complete. I do have to add the veins before latexing, but that is a quick 20 min job. The upper part of my shoes will be held together with velcro as will the outer edges of the skin (the black strips you see). The yellow highlights are armor, claws, and the bottom part of the sandle. Like I said before, it is nothing near as nice as a real latex cast foot, but I managed to get 6 1/2" lifts out of them and they cost me under $20 (provided I already had the shoes lol). Anyway here ya go, let me know what you think
