My 1st Freddy Krueger Glove + Stand. (Complete!!) + WIP on 3 More.

Re: My Handmade Freddy Krueger Glove + Stand. 98% Complete!!

Oh iv'e been busy again and a few blisters later i managed to cut out 24 finger pieces and the backplates for 3 more Gloves, i also bent the backplates to shape and i now need to smooth the edges and then start to bend the fingers into place.

I also picked up some Enamel and have now done the plaque, (Click this - View attachment 129795 ) i did it free hand and it came out pretty good, i still want to weather the glove some more but for now it's my pride and joy sitting pretty.

The backplates are even starting to discolour just from handling them.

Here's the Blades if you want them, as you can see one side has marks on them, i was going to polish them out on mine but decided to leave them, i did a bit of filing on them since the photo's we're taken so hopefully now they will sit on the fingers better.

Re: My Handmade Freddy Krueger Glove + Stand. Complete!!

I'll give the seller a few more days before we commit to these. I'm thinking the end of the week. If the blades do not show up by then, then it is obvious he never sent them. It's been 33 days since they were ordered from him.

Those blades do look great! I think I would rather have your blades on my glove anyways!

Re: My Handmade Freddy Krueger Glove + Stand. Complete!!

Well i'm back now so just need to motivate myself to get these three finished, iv'e got one glove to cut out, then they need weathering, 9 more blades to do and the stand itself needs a lot more doing to it.

Oh what have i started lol

I thought i'd just add a quick few photo's of a simple trick i use to start the weathering on the Gloves, once iv'e cut out the holes i then use a sharp blade to scratch at the glove as well as using sandpaper, that allows dirt to get in deep at certain areas to make it look like it's been worn away in places more than others.

Then i put on the glove and rub it on my car tyre, sounds strange but it starts the glove off nicely, i'll use other methods like dye but this gives it a good start and will leave some area's dirtier and look more worn than others.

Simple:cool

That's what I was going to do with my glove as well. I was also going to throw in some tail pipe grabbing too. Hopefully blades will arrive any day now.

Well i got one of the Palms done today, shaped using a knife and then sanded down and i got the holes drilled out for the finger pieces, these stands are a lot of work so i might just make the 4 that i get made "Limited Edition" lol so to speak, i could make cheaper looking one's but i think these look good once there all done, it just takes time so yeah i might not make any more of them.

So this is a before and after i shaved off the Pine.

Now i'm off to relax on my xbox iv'e had enough:behave

That is a nice glove. I think my favourite piece of this prop is the stand, though.

A good stand can add so much to a good prop and you've totally nailed that.
