Hi Guys,
I ran across this DL-44 Dense Foam blaster on Amazon but unfortunately, they wouldn't mail it to me in New Jersey. However, I found it on AliExpress for half the price. It took about 3 weeks. It was heavily weathered, and the scope became detached during transit, but 2 drops of super glue fixed that problem.
I added a couple of screws, hollowed out the front of the barrel and added a washer.
I had to fabricate the scope mount and used two metal buttons to elevate it on the side.
I printed out a reticle for the rear sight and added a piece to hold the glass lens off a $1.25 flashlight.
Painted the gun, except for the grips, a semi-gloss then rubbed it all over with graphite powder then sealed it with a clear coat lacquer.
I used rub-n-buff on the flash hider.
I've labelled the work I did in the photos below.
Can't beat it for $15.00!!!

Nice work, though I wonder if it's a recast. "Dense foam" doesn't seem like a material legit companies would use.

I did something similar with mine to make a Mersonn Power 5 for my Imperial Officer.

I've been on the lookout for the E11 made of the same material to wear while trooping in my TK. Saw one at a convention a few years ago and neglected to jump on snagging it when I had the chance. It pops up on Amazon occasionally, but haven't found any recently or on Ebay or even Alieexpress.

None of them are accurate my man. Anything budget friendly is not going to be accurate. But I don’t think that’s the point when counting pennies. U gotta cut corners somewhere right?!

IF true accuracy is what ur after but stillbudget conscious I can guarantee you this is your best option for these beauties.

I totally agree this isn't an accurate representation, but the NEW HOPE version isn't even worth the $15.00 whereas THIS version is.
Unfortunately, I don't know so, can you enlighten us that aren't in the know? --Ed

excellent
