from my Google searches I see that dxf is an autocad file. So open up autocad and see what types of file types it can import, then open up pepakura and see what file types it can export the models as. Choose one that works for both (.obj file is a fairly universal file format), export it in pepakura, open it in autocad then save it as a .dxf. Now I know nothing about AutoCAD or .dxf files, but this is how I'd approach the problem. If you dont have access to AutoCAD Id probably just export it as a .obj then suu if your friend can get it from there! Good luck!
