Musical Props!!

Aww man, I'm a Van Hagar fan all the way.

Something about DLR's constant stream of "hummelly beebly hummelly beebly boobly zoobida zabbida" and girlie like squeals and squeaks just doesn't do it for me.

I'm diehard Van Halen, original Van Halen though. You can bet your sweet a$$ that I'll be at one of the tour shows this summer. It really makes no difference to me that Diamond Dave has destroyed his voice with hard living, I'll be there to see the train wreck. My only hope is the tour will last long enough to get to my city. It could implode after the first show. Sorry to highjack.

I too will be seeing them this summer (as close to Denver as possible I hope) :D Dave was pretty bad on stage even in the early days... maybe singing like every other word or so, but it's so worth seeing Dave and Eddie on the stage together again. Also, not too happy about his little kid playing bass... but oh well? And I hope that they keep the tour through-out, you know anything can change once they get going on the road :confused

Dude. I have a Frankenstrat replica and the white and black replica, all painted and assembled by me, I have been checking ebay for a gibson explorer/Hamer/etc for cheap, they dont exist. I might end up getting a new Hamer to carve up but I fear it will just be too nice for me to cut it up, I'm really looking for just a body for cheap.
You beat me to the Shark dangit.

This is the only pic I have at work, I'll post some better ones tonight.

Also Dave does a much better job of singing all the words, saw him 2 and 8 years ago so the reunion should be awesome.

EVH is the @#$%..

You are now my new favorite RPFer.. I love it when people collect two of my favorite things :D

And please post some pics of your guitars. I'd love to see them.

After seeing all those cool guitars, I wanted to share my own. Here is my original "smoking" guitar played by Kyle Gass of Tenacious D. He played "Master Exploder" on the movie with this guitar.

The coolest part is, it has holes at the back for a smoke machine. These were made by the FX crew of Tenacious D. Smokes come out of these holes during the perfromance and look uber cool.

i was singing in a band makin money with my own songs when i was 16. B) tryin to get back into the swing of things, but women and my age are keping me from it, mainly because ive wasted the past 10 years on a girl... that wasnt worth it.

Great looking guitars.

And, since we're talkin' about "musical" props...

An oldie but a goodie.

(More pics later)

Re: Musical Props!!

Well, if one is familiar with the album, it kinda counts as a music related prop. But, "The Object" seen below is just an old promotional item.

They pop up on Ebay now and again. Mostly replicas... Cool stuff!

does this count as musical props?
theobject76promotionalstatue.jpg

had anybody made this?

Re: Musical Props!!

Where's all the metal 'Mental Health' health masks?

Re: Musical Props!!

Where's all the metal 'Mental Health' health masks?

I would love a Quiet Riot Metal Health mask. Where these ever available through the band back in the day?

I would also kill for a 1980 Iron Maiden stage Eddie mask the ones the roadies wore at the end of the set.
iron-maiden-bw155.jpg

I actually got offered one of the Maiden Japan style Eddies the one pictured in The Beast on The Road program and I stupidly turned it down because the guy wanted £200 looking back I would pay much more for it now.

All the Eddie masks on Ebay are just crap :cry.

Cheers Chris
