Are these hard to find? what do they go for?

Not too hard to find. I believe original retail for these was $499. They can usually be picked up on ebay MIB for around $400-$450. I've seen them go for as low as $300, but they didn't stay unsold at that price for very long.

Has anyone added a Hengstler Counter or modded theirs in any way?

I've seen them go for as low as $203. Well, that was just once, and no display case. But I've seen several auctions end in the high 200s--unopened boxes.

I modded mine. Hengstler, operating stock, real m38 scope, custom rail, cylinders, moving trigger, real Sterling grip. Been meaning to make a thread about it.

I saw a post a long time ago and someone did that.

I wish I could, but I don't have the balls, or the counter, to modify it..

I live in Canada, strick rules on guns here... hard to come buy real items.
