MR Rocketeer Oxidizing - Best Sealant?

My helmet has developed a rash of oxidation. I am going to clean it up, re-age and then seal it. What would be the best sealant to preserve the look of the metal? I don't want the look of a dull-coat but I don't want it to look like I have sprayed a gloss-coat on it either. Suggestions?
