MR Falcon

I've been looking over some pics of the original Falcon
and the first big difference with the MR Falcon are
the ends of the canons, no biggy

isn't there a post with some info on the MR order # that can clue you into what number of the edition you might receive ?

thought I read about it on here afew weeks ago.. or maybe it was something like -- "If there is an "E" in your order number there is a good chance you'll get a number under 100."

or something along those lines..... anyone know what I'm talking about?

Would it be possible to mount the MR MF vertically such as on a wall or inside a glass cabinet? The horizontal width does not give much room for placement in an average size room.

I shouldn't like to try it. The model is heavy... It sits on its display mount using gravity. There's no fixings to attach it.

Hi Dave.

If you are one one of the first 300 people to get a confirmed order, then you will have a "P" on your order. This means that you will receive a model numbered 1-300. However, when these are shipped, they are randomly selected from this inventory. So no one is "guaranteed" #1, or #250, etc

After the first 300, then once again, they are randomly selected from the remaining inventory.

Wow, I ordered within 60 seconds of the offering going up (a few minutes before the announced time), and my order number does not have a P in it. Did 300 orders really go through within 60 seconds?

The 10-digit number is the one I'm looking at. It's the only one I have, so I assume that's it. Do some folks have letters in their order numbers? Mine is all numbers.

I sat on the website refreshing the page repeatedly, and completed my order within 30 seconds of the <add to cart> button appearing for the LE and I just have a 10 digit order number. All numeric. No alpha.

Maybe the information from MR isn't...quite right???

I've heard the same from a number of people... all refreshing and all seemed to "buy" one in a VERY short amount of time after it going up for sale on the webpage.

I just want to know who I would have to bribe to the the 1138 numbered edition ...... :eek

Your order number will not contain the P.
Your shipping notice will list the item code, ie: SW-160-P, if you are one of the first 300.
You won't know if you are one of the first 300 until you get the email saying that your item has shipped.

In my humble opinion this is really a problem. I mean why did not MR do the tips of the Cannons the way they were done in the original model? as far as i can see from here this is not related with moulding or production..I rewally wonder why they did not stick to the original.. I guess when something is over 2K, even the tiny problems become a big deal..

guess that's one of the rules for making studio replicas
they can't be too accurate, or LFL won't allow it

as far as I know all licensed replicas have some flaws built in.

Is it possible that the tips ARE different on the 32" Falcon?

I think your making a mountain out of a mole hill.

I agree to an extent, your dropping over 2k the model should be as close as it can be.
Well, I submit it IS. If it was accurate to 1000% maybe it would cost,....$5000.

Then you would probably complain, "sure...its accurate to a nats ass...but WHO CAN AFFORD IT?????"

And you would be right. So...whats the old saying...."You can please some of the people SOME of the time...."

One more thing...
Im sure I could sit down with our reference and find a number of things that arent 100 % exact..

But then again. I could sit down with the ORIGINAL.....in its current condition, and compare it to photos of what it USED to look like and find the same number of things that are now off due to damage, repairs, and just plan old age.


I know the gun issue is being looked at and if it can be corrected it will be, however, if something like that is really gonna make ya unhappy enough to NOT buy it then its probably best you dont so someone else can enjoy the one that would have gone to you.

Just my opinion.

I guess the thing is...the guns have never been a mystery. That's all. It's not as if it couldn't be fixed easily.
