how many times must i point this out?

its rather annoying, everyone keeps saying its all resin with metal details, how do they miss the 3 words just above that from the same MR blog???

-Machined aluminum sleeve
-Cast resin body and metal details

derka, the outer metal looking part IS metal its machined aluminum, the inner hand grip black part (that was prob resin in the movie anyway) is the only resin part. :unsure

still more than i wanted to pay, but something tells me we will be able to get them cheaper ahhhhhhem :rolleyes

I would have thought they would have done the inside section of the saber injection molded plastic. It will be interesting to see how long the resin lasts before the paint starts to chip?

Almost resin saber and then noting the grip is resin and then saying its not mostly resin? Whose eyes need to be opened....
You do know the grip is almost the entire portion of the saber don't you? With a shel and some metal fittings as noted.

I was disappointed when I saw the price. I would have thought these would have been a little cheaper. I'll be interested to see how much the actually sell for. I think they are a good idea, but not at 200.00. I would rather buy a LE for that price.

I like the stand. It takes up less room but offers a nice view.

I would buy the stand for my other sabers..

Exactly. Good point. :)

HI I cntacted my dealer asking for his price. He wasn´t sure yet, but told me that MR did increase the price tag, but he´s going to give me the best price he can (but for that price I think the LE is the saber to get)

I´m not sure if I like the stand with a Rebel, Imperial what ever logo on it. I think the CAD file really looked good and without the "Star Wars" it would have looked good as well

Well, you simply have to look at the quality you recieve for the price you pay..... I'm postive these will look and feel great, the problem is that the piece itself is unable to warrent a price of 130 or more, because the extra cost of LE isn't much more, but the quality is not comparable.

*For the record I have yet to see the CEs but am famliar with most types of Resin and "affordable" sabers.... ;)

There is a huge difference bewteen good and bad resin casting.

Look at it this way... you're paying $20-30 for the stand, so you're left with a Licensed(this does affect price) $170-$180 FINISHED resin AND metal lightsaber hilt. I don't think that's too bad. And that price is the higherest you're looking to pay. There are really good dealers out there that offer deals on MR's products. I will definitely be trying this product line out at some point. :)
