So I got my TCSS clamp for the square cut silver sidebars, here's how compatible they are. The bars work fine, but unfortunately the TCSS bars don't work with Romans lever, it starts getting stuck in the threading. SO I had to use TCSS bars and lever. Their lever isn't as accurate, its threaded the entire length of the post and the post is shorter, but that's a small thing compared to the swap out of the bars. So below are TCSS bars and lever on Romans clamp.

No clue. It goes in about halfway and then gets stuck.

Does anyone with a real MPP know if the clamp sleeve is supposed to be hard plastic or rubber? Romans is more rubbery where TCSS one is plastic. They swap just fine too, though TCSS one needs to be trimmed a bit, its a little long lengthwise.

The threads are obviously close, because it wouldnt't go in at all if it wasn't. One is probably metric and the other imperial, with the same diameter. In theory the correct tap should correct the threads pretty quickly. Anyone knows?

Real MPP clamp sleeves are a soft, pliable plastic. Roman's are definitely more rubbery, but they're a fair enough facsimile.

Ok thanks. TCSS one is somewhat soft, you can dent it with a fingernail, but its certainly not rubbery. I think I'm going with this combination for my ANH:

Romans Clamp
TCSS Sidebars, Lever, Sleeve

The only incompatibility seems to be the lever/bars connection. Everything else is swap-able.

Like I said before, the holes should be easily retapped, if we knew the correct threads. As for the sleeve, I certainly hope that it's not rubber that will fall apart like on the Larbel...

I added screws to mine, and its tough drilling with such a small bit through the MPP sidewall. My hand drill kept falling through and hitting the T track and leaving dents like on the real thing.

funny thing is, the screws I had were so small, they couldn't tap themselves, and I had no tap for them. So some CA glue holds them in just fine.

My two MPP's are here! Oh baby are they beautiful!!

Here's one next to a Heiland I'm gonna convert. It already has the Romans clamp & bottom, & the steal shroud from Roy.

These MPP's are a dream come true, coming from someone who never expects to find - or afford - a real one. These are perfection!
Thank you Roman! :cheers

I got my tracking number on the 5th, but no updates since then. I’m checking the USPS site every day. Anybody else in my boat? I’m not sure if I should be concerned or not...

You might be one of the first going into the next batch he's building to be shipped out. You'll get it. Roman won't let you down. & the wait will be worth it :thumbsup

When you get the email with the tracking it just means the shipping label has been created and is in the system. It wont be updated until the package actually gets dropped off at teh post office.
