Is there a trick to evenly notching out the back of the grips so that they'll fit over the endcap?
Or is it better to use thicker double sided tape to lift them off of the endcap with no modification?
In that photo above is there a bit of a space between the grip and the body of the flash, or is that because the bottom of the grip is not contoured to match the flash? Maybe not -- hard to tell if it's camera distortion or what, but the grips seem like they might curve up at the end once they hit the endcap.
I forgot about the nail - I may do that with mine! Any suggestions on the type of nail?
I can't wait to get mine. I'm turning my parks MPP into the ESB/ROTJ because I don't want to drill into this one!

Here's a good thread re: the bubble strip/circuit board thing. As these are shipping out, does anyone recommend a good thread, tutorial, reference pics, etc. of building up and MPP / ESB replica? I have Roy's Blueprint which is awesome. just wondering if there's a collection of good photos of the screen used prop and/or any tips and tricks for inserting the wires, positioning the circuit under the bubble strip, size and position of the screws etc.
I feel like I'm a Roman apologist, lol, but the finish on this shroud is closer to how the actual prop is as far as I can tell. Even the chronicles pics of the ANH saber seem to indicate a more worn finish. I approveI wonder what happened with the paint job on the emitter shrouds. The first sample looked to have a spot on crinkle finish. The final product, while great looking, doesn't have quite the same texture or color.
Everything at the top of the saber is proportional. The extra length is at the bottom of the saber. Can you tell where that extra length is coming from? Thanks for the comparison pics, I only have a Parks at this point.

wider in depth or width? I haven't played with mine yetgot mine today! unexpected details all around, but very happy. the weight is ridiculous.
anyone else have a wide clamp? I was able to tighten mine down but it's still wider than a replica bubble strip
