- edit- sorry didnt realize till now that the silver sidebars on Romans were trapazoid shaped.

Yeah, I didn't realize this would be a thing. I only had one sample to send to the manufacturer (trapezoid). Then the afterthought of a variation didn't pan out.

Ten minutes on a grinder and your silver bars will match the one reliable image from ANH. That’s good enough for me. Your bars give the option. Maybe Scott or Chris or PAtrice have an MPP with silver bars that have a different profile? Even still, if it looks like the Chronicles pic when I’m done, I’m happy.

But it wouldn’t be a Roman Props release if there wasn’t atr least a couple breakdowns over milimeters!

That was EXACTLY what we said! I thought this was the plan. Hearing the silver bars had a different profile is news to moi!

Roman.... how about Black sidebars SHAPE, in silver. That way people can trim them to shape for ANH, and paint them black for ESB/ROTJ

This was right at the time I was saying "no, only one sidebar". I just decided to make both black & silver.

I ordered silver by mistake. That's why I'm asking. I'm not going to drive Roman crazy with exchanges. I'm just going to paint these black. I just wanted to make sure I was keeping these film accurate to ESB

It would, I just dont have the hardware to do that. And it sounds like the profile shape would need adjusting too.

That’s what I’m not sure about. I’ve seent he profile of many an MPP black bar sets, but not silver.

Dremel is your friend or your worst nightmare. You magicians can modify these black trapezoid bars to chrome rectangles if you put your mind to it. For 13 years I’ve watched us as fans turn one object into a thing of beauty. I have faith that you guys can make this bad boy into a proper ANH Vader. I myself wanted an ESB Vader to go with my ESB Vader helmet. I have faith that you guys will do great things with your Roman MPP hilts. I can’t wait to get mine.

I'll be able to once my Roman's MPP gets here as I own the tcss clamp already (which I strongly believe is Parks/Korbanth), however, you could always take the bars AND clamp lever from the TCSS clamp and put it on the Roman's

They are parks. I asked them for a clamp last year and they said they got them from parks and they were behind.

I’m all for the grinding method IF they are solid silver color and not yellowish metal like most chrome plated stuff is these days. I know the Korbanth bars are like that since I rough sanded mine down to remove the shiny chrome some before painting black for my ESB. I would also be fine with using the Korbanth ones if they fit.

I can't wait to get mine. I'm turning my parks MPP into the ESB/ROTJ because I don't want to drill into this one!
