MPC 1/48 Eagle 2 with Lab Pod coming in 2020

I know Round 2 is a business, and I don't begrudge anyone from trying to make a buck, but... I'm not going to buy the entire Eagle kit again just to get the lab pod. Even if I was willing to pay the money, I don't have the room to display multiple versions of a 24" spaceship model. My display shelves are pretty full. If they sold a separate kit containing just the cargo pod, the regular pod, and the lab pod, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. Throw in a couple boosters or an in-scale moon buggy and they could sell that set for $50-60 and a lot of people who already have the kit will happily shell out for it.

The Eagle 2 is somewhat different, so they tell me. I can't really see the differences, but I'm not a far out Space 1999 nut.

I bought myself the 1/72 Eagle for Christmas. Looks to be a great kit.

I also have a display problem- not to sure where I will display the 1:48 Eagle I already have in the closet of doom.
I do have the Product Enterprises Lab Pod Eagle so I do have something to enjoy looking at, but Round 2 is going to sell complete variants until the market is totally saturated, then hopefully they will consider just selling the pods and accessories as add on kits...

I’m surprised that they are selling another Eagle as well, but at least they are completing the line. If they sold the glider and booster accessories as an accessory kit, I think that would be better. I’m waiting for the 1/48 Hawk, Swift and SuperSwift.

Any new model release is good, isn’t it?

They are also selling a separate booster kit as an accessory. From what I hear the radiation waste diorama was a disaster so it's nice to see this line continue. I never expected to see a big line of accessories--I may get the lab pod kit and use the Eagle parts for something else.

I think the problem with the Radiation waste dio was the scale.

I think it would have been much better suited for the 1/72 Eagle especially since they now have the newly tooled, vastly superior 1/72 versions available as well as a 1/72 Hawk

Also, I'd be much more likely to buy and build multiple 1/72 Eagle variants than 1/48

I've got one 1/48 for a showpiece, I don't want or need 2 or 3 more at that size

Round2 is selling a booster kit? Or do you mean Larson Designs?

Eagle 2’s leg pods were detailed differently and the main engine piping was different, and the passenger pod over the side door was different. Those are the main differences as I recall. And the detailing inside the cages is different.
