This one just kind of came together. Not super accurate, but lots of fun.

  1. Buy a Heineken mini keg - $20
  2. Go to Mexico and buy a set of shark teeth from some street vendor. (Your wife will think it is a stupid purchase) $1,400
  3. Buy a marine signal strobe $40
  4. Can of high gloss yellow spray paint. $3
  5. Some rope (on my to-do list) $2
Assembly (the fun part)

  1. Drink the beer, yes, all of it
  2. Sand the paint down to the aluminum
  3. Remove tap and spray paint it yellow
  4. Spray again and again...
  5. Stencil ORCA (optional, not screen accurate)
  6. Have neighborhood kids kick it around in the street
  7. Tie some rope around it (a sheepshank MR HOOPER!)
  8. Adorn with Strobe and Teeth
Repeat:
Yes, you need three of them, but you can watch the blinky light while you drink the second keg and sing/recite;

  1. "Farewell and adoo to you fair spanish ladies"
  2. "Show me the way to go home"
  3. We're gonna need a bigger boat
  4. This was no boating accident!
  5. Lifeless eyes, like a dolls eyes...

As a huge Jaws fan, I admire your vision!

No, not accurate..but super cool in a JAWS kind of way.

Nice one!

ohh this thread just made my day.
Very clever post and great idea.

I was thinking in my head as I read the first few line..."is he gonna tell me how he weathered the yellow paint?"..

yup...love the part about neighborhood kids kickin it around the street....hahhahaha

I had to do a re-read when I thought that was a full size keg and the size of the jaw around it I did a double take :confused Then I saw it was just a mini-keg!

The $1400 includes a lot of tequila and tacos;)

Weathering - I think I am going to kick it around some more and add a few pieces of rope.

I have been toying with the idea of adding some sound since there is such a big empty space inside to store electronics.

Don't want to spend too much since it isn't the right shape. I think the key is to experiment.
Off to the liquor store for more research materials.

Cool!
What is the width of the jaws you used?
I see there is a guy in FL selling jaws
from 10" to 13" on the large auction site.

Also is there sheepshank tutorial? :angel
