Moon is out on DVD and BluRay today... kindof

I've been dieing to see this movie for months
and the movie was release today, but good luck finding it

Walmart... only available online
Best Buy... got one copy in, on DVD, none on Blu Ray

does anyone know of a store that actually got the movie in on BluRay?

is there a reason why this highly anticipated release is damn near impossible to find on a shelf?

That's weird. My Best Buy had tons of copies of Moon on Blu-ray and I had no problem snagging one.

But I wouldnt say it's a highly anticipated release to the general public... only to the "real" film community and the sci-fi lovers. The Hurt Locker and The Simpsons Season 20 are probably the headliners this week.

Just finished watching it and I really enjoyed it, I wasn't expecting that kind of story.

Kinda strange.
I pull all the street dates for the floor at the Target I work at and we only received 6 copies and no blue rays.

The first commentary track is excellent. So many nods to Ridley Scott, Syd Mead, the jacket patches from SILENT RUNNING; I sort of felt like those guys wouldn't be out of place at my house.

I do wonder what they're thinking on this one... it's a Sony Pictures release

I wonder if it's a distribution problem, or if they just miscalculated the amount of interest?

It would have made a lot more money for them had they done so I am certain.

Um. I'm still not sure if it was good or not. :confused

Just one of those "wtf did I just watch" things that has to absorp and be processed. It may be great or just ok... time will tell. Still not sure what just happened.
