The Filmography of Guns by Cathryn Lavery — Kickstarter

Cathryn's Filmography of Cars print is something I wanted to buy when I saw it few months ago, but haven't gotten it yet.

I was randomly searching for movie weapons print and saw that she has now come up with this awesome print of guns from movies and TV shows. Just backed it.

The Terminator is from 1994 all of the sudden? :facepalm :lol

Yeah that's a mistake, but I guess it was an old image as it's regularly being tweaked and updated. The new one reflects the change in name of the gun, the movie and the year.

Thought Bubble 2014: BACK TO THE FUTURE by Matt Taylor – Mondo

Mondo's Back to the Future Poster by Matt Taylor

18" X 24" Edition of 225

" Here's what Matt had to say about the poster:

BTTF is basically my dream project and as such is utterly terrifying, because it is embedded in the public consciousness and has it’s own library of iconography that even people who haven’t seen the film will know. On top of that, the previous BTTF series at Mondo are amongst the highlights of their output - so a little bit of extra pressure to live up to there.

For my design, I went back to Struzan’s original concept posters - there is a great one with Marty vanishing from the feet up, and as soon as I saw it I knew that I wanted to use it as my starting point. I think PCC and Laurent have closed the book on using the Delorean so I deliberately stayed away from that and focused instead on Marty and his instantly recognisable features. I used the title block from the original poster and stripped out the rest of the type so that the image stood alone on the page. I’m really happy with how it turned out and I hope that the Mondo faithful dig it as well.

Be sure to stay tuned to Twitter to find out when Back to the Future will become available at the convention. "

Good to see another artist teaming up with Mondo.

Now waiting for the Batman prints from the last few weeks go up for sale.

Collider shared this on Twitter. PULP FICTION poster by Laurent Durieux. Timed edition. On sale 11/28 through 12/1.

Mondo will be donating 10% of the proceeds from the timed sale of the regular print to the Sally Menke Fellowship.

And 100% of the proceeds from the sale of the variant (all signed by Tarantino) will also go to the Sally Menke Fellowship, which will be announced at a later date.

This will be the first in a 2 poster set with "Terminator 2: Judgement Day" following the month after by Gabz as well, to form a dyptich. Grey Matter Art is extremely excited to release this poster as Gabz has done a phenomenal job representing both films. Below are details on the poster for "The Terminator."

Size: 24x36
Regular Edition: 325/$50.00
Variant Edition: 175/$75.00
Foil Variant: 50/125.00

Here is what GABZ said about the project:

"The Terminator" and "Terminator 2: Judgement Day" are both one of those movies I always wanted to work on, so when Mike Gregory from Grey Matter Art approached me with the offer, it was like a dream come true. I wanted something with strong imagery, action packed, and with a glimpse of the future as seen in both movies. While I'm hoping the artworks will speak for themselves, two things worth pointing out is that the general concept was inspired by an interview with James Cameron I read a while back, in which he stated that he had a dream about a cyborg/robot coming out of the flames, and as we all know the rest is pretty much a cinema history. The other thing I wanted, was to design both posters to form a diptych."-Gabz

Grey Matter Art will be selling this poster on their website shop page on Tuesday, December 16th at a random time between 1:00-2:00PM EST.
