Mold Making Questions

I have an old Hatbox Ghost face that came off an old Disney Tombstone of mine that I wanted to try making a mold of. As you can see from the pictures it is a hollow resin cast with very rough back edges. I've cut out a section of foamcore that I was going to lay the piece in and seal with clay and then begin to create a detail layer with a naptha/silicone caulk layer and build it up from there. I was going to attempt a mother mold from plaster bandages after that but don't know if I should create a two part shell or a shell that would just lie over the top. As you can tell by the pics, the chin provides a pretty big undercut. Any suggestions on how to approach the mother mold?

do you even need to go through all that trouble!?!?! couldn't you just do a 1 piece silicon block mold?!?!?

for future reference, the mold box does NOT have to be four sides. You can do angles and such to cut out voids. You can also use blocks of wood or other material to further cut the silicone usage yet those blocks will need to be kept for the molds own rigidity. You can also angle the sides inwards.
