Re: Moebius mark 7

What's wrong with the factory cockpit section? Is it that bland, or off, or what? This looks awesome!

Re: Moebius mark 7

The stock pit is VERY bland even by styrene kit standards (the Mk II by comparison had a rather good pit IMHO for styrene). It has a little bit of a center console display, but the side consoles are almost non-existant and it doesn't even have the two side displays on either side of the main DRAEDIS readout. When I got mine, I thought long and hard about doing a two day build to get it done for IPMS Nationals (easily possible), but I stopped as the cockpit would need a bit of work to look good in terms of scratchbuilding stuff for it. As such, while I don't normally run for photoetch, the Paragrafix set looks like money well spent.

Awesome job on the cockpit! Blows the standard one out of the water.
Is that a commercially available lighting kit you're using or just a do-it-yourself job? If it's one you did yourself I'd love to know how you did it... I'm absolutely crap when it comes to electronics!

One subject I cannot get my head around is electronics...

Re: Moebius mark 7

Working on the paint and detail before i glue the 2 half together. Just about there but i have to wait a day or so before I can spray it with clear i tried and it started to lift lucky i was able to fix it.Its not perfect in the color but its not bad so I'm happy with that.

Re: Moebius mark 7

Its done. The PGMS cockpit is a must for this kit makes it look 100% better.I used spa blue for a color although it no the exact color its close as you can get in a can that i could find. Over all I think i came out decent. (Look for the beauty shot's to come.)
