Hey there folks! First post... decided to start big.
Earlier this year, I decided to purchase three 1/8 Scale EVA pods with two of my fellow 2001 fans, and help them, to varying degrees, finish their models. That way, we could each have one in our homes, and together, the full set of three!
Likely, the last of us alive will get to display all 3 side by side
A note: I only recently returned to model making after nearly two decades away, so it was a slightly daunting task. There are some things about this first attempt which I am quite unhappy with, but mostly, I think it turned out well. This is also my first lit model, and I learned how to solder/make electronic circuits work as I went through this one. The newer version is turning out MUCH more refined (with a lot less wiring).
I also know there haven't been a ton of builds of this kit yet, so I wanted to document the whole thing. There are detailed descriptions on each photo in the imgur link.
I will be posting progress updates on the second, unfinished pod which has already addressed most of the issues I had with this first one (Namely the button colouring for the lights. UGH I painted them poorly in this. Went with coloured gels in the latest one, and it's much better).
