Models we'd like to have seen made

I'd like to see a large scale Ark from the 80s Transformer cartoon and comic (they kinda look alike) and maybe a few kits of GI joe vehicles in a realistic scale.

The Ark would be cool, but I think it would be even better as a diorama buried in the side of the mountain! :) But I was thinking... what about some classic and new Tron vehicles? I mean the light cycles in the original were great but in the new movie there was a bunch of really cool vehicles that would have made some great kits!

OOOOOOOOOOOOOO YEAH... BB was one of my fav movies. The crab ship would be awesome as well. And I thought of one... how about the spaceship from the movie with the kids called "The Explorers"... here's the ship:

And as I'm thinking about it... how about some of these:

The RLS Legacy from Treasure Planet

the Eagle 5 flying Winnebago from Spaceballs

The Axiom and a bunch of the robots from Wall-E would be cool to build

The NSEA Protector from Galaxy Quest

The Prawn Mothership from District 9

The Serenity from Firefly

All of the ships and vehicles from Avatar

Thats just some of the ones off the top of my head!

Check Randy Cooper, he just made one

I would go for Sandcrawler (1/72, please) in a heartbeat, Tantive IV, too.

I'd find it interesting to see the E.T. ship with a good lighting kit, it's a nice and easily recognizable ship with that distinct fluctuating lighting effect. There's also the CE3K mothership, but it would have to be PE-heavy and most likely a nightmare to handle. The Superman's chrystal shard ship thingy might be an interesting modeling concept, too. You know, the thing on which Supes arrives on Earth in the first flick, Superman: the Movie, 1978.

I was often puzzled by why they never released a Tantive IV (Blockade Runner) or the Sandcrawler kits. Those would have been awesome and have been completely overlooked as SW kits. I know there have been a couple of garage kits that have come out of these two but I they weren't very big at all. But I recently saw a Tantive at a pretty good scale as a garage kit. I'll see if I can find it again.

I would love a E.T. ship... that would be awesome especially if it came with a flashing lighting kit to go with it. I think this is available as a garage kit somewhere.

I agree... even thou that ship would be nice, I'm sure it would be a nightmare to handle. And I don't think it would look right unless it would light up, and the logistics of lighting it at a smaller scale would be a nightmare!

The Superman's chrystal shard ship thingy might be an interesting modeling concept, too. You know, the thing on which Supes arrives on Earth in the first flick, Superman: the Movie, 1978.

That's an interesting choice... but I'm not sure of the appeal of it. Wasn't much to look at really. I dunno.

Oh yeah boy! Now we're talking... I would love to have both of those. Don't know why they didn't make a Locomotive from BTTF... that would have been KILLER! And I know the other ship was in that series with Kevin Sorbo (loved it, just can't remember the name of it).

Twas called Gene Rodenberry's Andromeda.
The ship itself was called the Andromeda Ascendant.

The show was fun, but having rewatched it recently, some of it was amazingly awful.

They also had a Millennium Falcon kinda ship, the Eureka Maru, but never dug it as much.

Other ones I've thought of:
The Bebop from Cowboy Bebop

And the Outlaw Star from Outlaw Star

I think that made an action figure type thing for that, but it's impossible to find. :(

Not to mention half these japanese kits never get brought over in large numbers like Gundams and such so they go for more than a garage kit over here would cost.

Yeah... most of those anime cartoon ships were really cool but never made it over here. I remember buying and building as many of the Robotech robots and stuff I could get my hands on when I was younger. Love that stuff. I remember Andromeda... I used to love that show! The Maru wouldn't be too bad either.

the first kit I did that wasn't an airfix model was some of the mechs from Gundam Wing back when it was first airing over here.
But they don't do it for the same way ships do.

I've seen a kit for sale on shapeways, but it's hard to tell what it's really like and it's a bit too expensive a risk for me.
