Modding a MR FX Obi Wan saber

Guys and gals is it possible to modify a MR FX Obi Wan saber with a thin neck? Are there any tutorials and kits out there for people who are not master prop builders? :confused

Ive seen it done once. You have to cut the entire neck section off, machine an entirely new neck. If you don't want a removable neck, you can just lengthen the wires that connect the LED string to the sound board.
