I said WTH and sent him my info. Why not? He has already got my stuff so if he does not follow through I am only out my emails (this time). I like to think sometimes people do the right thing. We shall see.

He got caught again and is trying to worm his way out of it by saying what he thinks people want to hear.

From what we were told when the police got involved the last time, all of the stuff that he has scammed from people is gone, either to friends of his or sold for money.

First off, I am not "representing" the RPF. I happened into a deal with him, that is all. He wants an item back from that deal, and I said only if you give back all items taken here. That is all. I spoke with the mods, and they didn't say it was a bad idea, so I assumed I should try to help out. If the mods didn't want me to be the voice trying to get stuff back, they would have asked me to back down. And the whole point of staring this thread was to get word out there that he has expressed interest in returning items. I asked those who were interested in me trying to get the items to pm me their info. To me, THAT CLEARLY WAS ASKING THEIR PERMISSION to be the voice in SpeaKing on their behalf. Those who don't want me to, don't have to pm me.

I was doing this to help out....But from the amount of negativity I seem to be garnishing by my efforts, it seems like everyone but two people think this is worth trying. The rest of the feedback seems to be a "mind your own business" attitude I have been tossed. So I will just bow out and chaulk it up to a possible missed opportunity.

Brad Jedifyfe and Kevin, Gaitorbait9696... I forwarded your shipping into already. If he comes through, great. At least I will know my efforts were for something. If he doesn't come through... Then no big surprise there.

Why are you trying to get the tread deleted until he has given back the stuff?....if he don't give them back then this thread could be great for future people on the forume to find and see that they need to stay the **** away from him.

I now know one individual to stay clear of, so Thanks for this thread moviefreak, shame it comes to this but some people are just plain and simply "brain dead" if they think that they can get away from scamming other people for their own selfish pleasures!

Even though I'm not involved, I appreciate your efforts Moviefreak, I feel you handled it well and it was very kind and thoughtfull to look out for your fellow members. It's a shame a few grumpy people had to make you feel unappreciated.

I really wish that people would take responsibility for their own emotions. Nobody "made" him feel any way at all; he feels how he feels.

But I sure do apologize if me saying that I wouldn't want to be involved because I was unharmed by Mitchell's attempt to scam me and so therefore had no business to be involved in the attempt for others to be made whole caused anyone to feel anything.

No Larry, you don't need to apologize. You got your money back from Paypal, so you are squared up. You have no more dealings and need to be involved, so you stated you would like to be left out. That makes plenty of sense :)
My feelings come from the list of people scammed who are just not interested in the persuit. That is their decision that I respect, so I am just not going to invest much more time because of that lack of interest. But dont apologize Larry

I understand your position Larry and apologize if you felt my statement had anything to do with your involvement. You had a valid point and good reason to not be involved any farther that you already have. I still appreciate these threads that help noobs like me avoid costly mistakes, and I am thankful for those who invest their time trying to help the RPF community. As skeptical as I am, I still am keeping my fingers crossed for those trying to get their stuff back.

Moviefreak, it's a good effort and a good idea and I'm sure the negativity isn't directed towards you but more due to frustration. This guy has said over and over again that he would return items and never has. He has been doing this for a long time and knows how to work the system. So why would people even get their hopes up to be met with disappointment?

People that are willing to steal or scam are not rational, stable, thinking people.

Staying away from them is always a plus.

Report the scam to the mods (incidentally the actual reason for the Report button, not to tattle on "behavior".)

Report the internet fraud to the police and move on.

Simple as that.

Thanks man; I hope it's not too far a stretch to assume folks are talking about me and/or mic when you read the phrase "a few grumpy people," all things considered.

LAREST EMAIL FROM MITCHELL JUST CAME IN:

"Hey sorry I was emailing Kevin so I thought he might've informed you. I got a postage quote for the return of the sabers and it was just under $200, so I asked if I could post them by Wednesday next week as thats when I get paid. Kevin agreed so the sabers and the helmet will go to Brad on the same day and the rest of the armour shortly after."

Honestly, Somethings up. I had read about Mitchell before I joined, you know I hope he returns all the things, I really do. It's just that he's this track record now, Funky was ABSOLUTELY right when he said we should not trust him. I had thought that some people might have thought I was him! Tank and Boomer Left 4 Dead infected? That's my 2 cents.
