These will be available soon on my Etsy store for $65 plus shipping. https://darkmatterprops.etsy.com

This is a 1:1 scale replica of the Cruciform Key from the movie Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning. The keys are machine cut with precision from solid brass and glass cabochons are glued into both sides of the keys. The keys are made in such a way that light can pass through the cabochons from one side to the other. These also come with stainless steel clasps and ball chains as seen on the Russian submarine in the opening sequence. This is the most screen accurate replica key available with every detail copied directly from the original. The last image in the gallery is a collage of screen captures from the movie. Lessor replicas have been selling for more but it has always been our goal to provide the highest quality prop replicas at affordable prices. We know you will love our Cruciform brass key.

The cruciform key is the only thing capable of controlling an AI called The Entity. The key was aboard a Russian submarine called the Sevastopol in the beginning of the movie. That sub turned out to be a test gone wrong, as the AI proved to be more effective than anyone could have imagined. It became self aware and went rogue. The key is divided into two halves as a safety measure and the AI's source code can only be accessed when both authentic halves of the key are united.

Each key measures about 3.25 inches (83mm) long, 1.25 inches (31mm) wide, and weighs .7oz (18g). The stainless steel ball chain is 30 inches (76.2cm) long.

These are in stock and orders will take 1-3 day(s) to ship.

Just want to give a shoutout here. I’ve bought a couple versions of the cruciform key and let me just say: none of them compare to this one, and at less than half the cost of others. The machining is tight, the detailing is great, and the added chains give it a little something extra. To say I was disappointed to get a subpar product for $150 vs. the Dark Matter version for only $70 is an understatement. Now if only Mike and Co. would make a display to hold it .

If you’re looking for the Cruciform key, this is the one you want—no questions.

Thanks, Mike!

If you make a display or have a recommendation for where to get one, let me know and I’ll be on the list!

Thank you for the feedback. We are glad you like our key(s). We actually do make a front open shadow box with an internal removable pillow that would work well to display these keys. It is in our Etsy shop.
