Just a little update for everyone-- I've been refining the overall form of the keys. I really think they're starting to take shape. I'll make a few tweaks to the raised details and will then set my sights on the circuit designs before finalizing fit and tolerances on the keys.

Updates for the design after taking a few days to work on it:

It's pretty much there for me. I plan on printing a couple tests to check final fit, but I'll be ready to move forward with the machining stage soon, so I'll have final prices for everyone.

Now one question I have for everyone on the interest list involves finishing on these pieces:

I was doing some rough quoting yesterday, and in terms of material options, I’m currently looking at gold anodized aluminum or brass for these keys.

The gold anodized aluminum is the less costly option. Not an insane price leap to the brass though; we’re talking maybe $20-30 higher.

I’d love for everyone to weigh in.

Also, wanted to share another test I did. Had these laser cut in brass before I added all the details. Wanted to check size and weight. Also, tossed the “lights” into these to check the fit. Very happy with that as well as the color of the lights themselves.

As an update for everyone, I think I am ready to call this design finished.

Here is a video of the final model printed in resin.

As a heads up, I will be asking for payment in full up front. I will get the exact cost per set either tonight or tomorrow. Be on the lookout in the next few days as I will post here with some details.

These are going to be $120 shipped (will calculate additional shipping for international) per set.
