Mind-**** Movies!

Atichrist was pretty twisted. Complete misnomer though. Beautifully shot.

Surprisingly for me,
the fox
was the most disturbing scene. When I think of that movie, that particular scene sticks out in my mind despite all the other horrors shown in that film. Wigged me out!

How about:

Mulholland Dr. - Almost too cryptic. Classic Lynch, everything is a symbol for something else. Great one to analyze though. I hated it at first, but grew to love it once I started going deeper.

Barton Fink - Great atmosphere in this one. Some trippy stuff going on and a great script.

Martyrs - Some classify this as torture porn (this one is not for you Art :p), but once you get past it, some really interesting concepts. This one stuck with me for days.

Try Marble Hornets
It's this webseries on youtube about a kid who's making a student film for his college final but abandons the project and gives all of the footage he shot to his friend, Jay. Well Jay goes through the footage after a while and realizes that his friend was slowly descending into insanity due to being followed by the mysterious 'operator'.

It's a slenderman webseries but a good one that had me on the edge of my seat for hours. Also don't forget to watch the companion channel Totheark which features footage of a masked man stalking Jay sending him cryptic messages about the nature of 'the operator.'

Do you really think that's a spoiler? Because I have a hilarious image you might appreciate regarding that scene I could post...can images be put in spoiler tags?

I'm sure I already know exactly what your going to post cayman shen,

What makes that scene work so well is that you aren't expecting it and I don't want people looking for it when watching the movie, so yeah it's a spoiler of sorts.

I'd second Dr. Strangelove, when you find yourself not knowing who you want to succeed in their mission, knowing what THEY know vs. what YOU know... That is the epitomy of the title definition

The original mind-**** movies Un Chien Andalou and L'Age D'Or.

Skip to 1:30 for the most infamous scene:

Les yeux sans visage (Eyes Without a Face) - actually a great classic horror film

Persona - the beautifully arresting Ingmar Bergman classic
