Midgard Loki Costume from Avengers

I will title this outfit Midgard Loki, since it is not the fully armored "True King" version. (not yet at least) :)

I was inspired originally to do the character of Loki, after the way I felt he stole the movie in Thor. I was also looking for something new as well as a challenge. Once that outfit was finished, preliminary shots started to surface with this outfit, and I immediately knew I had to tackle this one as well.

I would say that this took a little over a month to create. Before I actually began work on the soft parts of this, I used a couple weeks to slowly sculpt and mold up the few armored pieces, and used my time to slowly hunt for the proper shade of green fabric.
Probably tack on about 2 more weeks for the scepter alone.

Cost-wise is very difficult to answer. $200 in leather? A gallon of silicone and some epoxy resin? Perhaps another $100 in wools. Scepter, well let's just tack on another TWO gallons of silicone for that. :lol

I am most proud of finally creating wearable armor from sculpts. Thomas Spanos helped me make a body cast years ago for a project that's yet to get up off the ground. I finally was able to make use of it, and will continue to as I move forward with the rest of his armor.

I would say the only real tips I have for this one is sculpting. If I didn't have the ability to sculpt well, this would never have as accurate as it came to be. Yes it can be done other ways, but that would sacrifice details. :)

Toby I have watched a lot of this unfold via FB and had the pleasure to see it in person, it is nothing short of spectacular. You have done some really amazing things over the years but this one, from the ground up was very impressive.

You always have outstanding costumes and this one is fantastic as well.

Your attention to detail shows and you set the bar high. Really great costume, both how it looks and how well you embody the character.

Man the costume looks sweet! And the staff is so sick. Nice job with the photos too the settings really add to it. You make a great Loki!

This is absolutely fabulous, and without a doubt my favorite of your costumes thus far (although Jack Sparrow is a very close second!). The craftsmanship is top notch and your resemblance to Hiddleston makes it all the better.

Well done indeed!

I'm loving the hole outfit. Wouldn't it be cool if people wore asgardian clothing as thier daily modern outfit instead of jeans and hoodies :cool
