hi guys. update of my mark 33 aluminium armor, with a mark 7 helmet (i prefer build the final mk33 helmet when i finished the full suit), so the armor need little details, welding and painting x). :

i am trying to print out the mk33 chest RT but the pdo file is giving me issues when i try to convert it to an obj file. does any have the obj file so that i can have it printed?
any response would be much appreciated
my current projects below the left mk3 is 3d printed the middle mk3 is hand made with pepakura, fibreglass, bondo and 3 months of work oh and a botched up paint job. need to fix that. the right faceplate is also handmade but that one is for detailed purposes. just finished the basecoat with a dull grey job. next is the metal grey paint and then a clear coat to finish it up and then i am having the detail bits added that my one buddy is designing for me in the second image
this is my arc reactor thus far, printed it out and put the lighting in last night. as you can imagine....im somewhat proud.

Glad you love the thread! Have you messaged the original modeler of the RT unit? You can find his posts on the page 12
And an update... I feel like I'm always remodeling over and over, but I want the helmet to be as accurate as possible. With the semi-recent release of the hot toys Mark 45 1/6 scale figure, I was finally able to get some great shots of the rear of the helmet and also the cheek! From the previous released model, all that really has changed would be the rear of the helmet, the cheek, the eyes, and the air intakes groove things on the top of the faceplate. As always, first post will be updated.
I'm also working on an HD version of my old model of the Mark 42 helmet. It's coming along nicely. I'm glad how nicely the cheek turned out. Something is a little off with the eyes though... I'm not sure what but it's bothering me

Finished up the Mark 42 helmet. Added the recessed area on top of the helmet, the side grooves, made the cheek more accurate, and added the chin groove in. I'll edit the first page with the file!
EDIT 6/9/15: I forgot to change the ear to match the mark 42 since I just copied the one from the Mark 45 and aligned it. The ear is now Mark 42 accurate and again, link updated on the front page.
Looks like I'm gonna be doing some unfolding!

Oh *****, I leave the board for a year and when I come back you've made your stellar work even better! :lol Along with being completely swamped with schoolwork this year I unfortunately lost most of my files. I'm rebuilding my collection starting with yours! I never used to comment much before, but I'll try and become a little more active this summer.

Awesome stuff! I always manage to get the color wrong somehow... But thanks for always fixing it! Also I hope you don't mind, but I edited your unfold a tiny bit. There is a hard edge along the back rear side of the helmet, so I just detached and reattached some pieces to accommodate for that. Hopefully the pictures below show what I mean!

All these foam unfolds are making me sad. I guess it's the struggle of the paper pepakura people to deal with all those millimeter strips. They're still damn good foam unfolds. Nice work all of you.
