Re: Megaman X Armor Pep Files - Helmet has been Unfolded
Wow, I am sorry I haven't been on here in a very long time. Problem was that I was finishing my degree and that pretty much sucked the life out of all my free time. The good news is that I did graduate and got a nice 8-5 job that makes my schedule pretty steady.
I am gonna try and pick up where I left off and get this thing finished. I can't make any promises on how soon I can get it done but I will do my best to keep with it. First order of business is fixing the download links.
A number of you have said that the downloads are not working anymore so I am gonna try and upload them onto dropbox and just post the download links directly. Hopefully my 2 GB of space will hold everything just fine. I'll work on that this weekend and hopefully Monday we will have working downloads again.
Downloads are back online. They are direct download through dropbox so there are no links to follow, just the way I like it. Chest is still a long way from finished but I'll keep plugging away at it. It is going to consist of 4-5 separate pieces and I need to make sure they fit together decently.
Progress on the chest armor. Shoulder bells will be separate and the chest will split into a front piece and back piece that can be connected with magnets, snaps, buckles, etc.
I still need to finish the back side up, add the detail for the white rib cage area and proportion it to fit right
Great work with the armor, I'm thoroughly impressed. If you need some ideas for how to design the other parts, here is a post by huesos-005: creation of megaman's armor
I'm building this too, looks great. I'll see what I might be able to come up with for the X-Buster mechanism. I like fiddling with things like that.
Keep up the good work. Hope to see more from you!
pep master has the helmet done.
last week i just did the torso and shins. just not unfolded yet.
wish i would have know sooner to help out.
wish i could find the x3 stuff
Progress on this has stalled for the time being. I keep coming across other projects that I want to finish before this one.
I haven't seen pep masters file or the ones from the 405th, but I'm happy to see other Megaman fans. I'm currently debating with myself on how I want to handle the chest piece, but I have to finish off some of these other projects so I can give this one the attention it deserves.
I have a better idea of what I'm going to be doing with the X-buster now. It's probably a bit ambitious, but if it works it'll be worth the extra effort. Here's a video I made with Sony Vegas: MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service
The first one is the animation and explanation, and the second video (short) shows a different cut in the PVC Pipe at the front.
I can remember watching the cartoon, and playing the games. Anyway, I would be most excited to see the end peps. I always wanted to attempt at my own X or Zero costume, but never could find the right peps...
I just never thought to look here.
I found an iron pep file for a cod piece, I think it's ultimate something, I can't remember, but I goes great as a cod piece for Megaman X. You just have to cut off the pieces that stick out the sides and it looks great.
Hi there, I'm brand new, but I've lurked for awhile. For SDCC this year, I took the designs posted here and made some modifications and finished a version of the MMX suit. LMK what you guys think. Thanks to all the hard work of the creators, couldn't have done it without you.
looks great! the only problem i have with the character is that it never fit human proportions. mostly the big head. only thing stopping me from making one.
but still, good job!
Dunno if this help. Its an obj model file of Megaman (Or Zero's Alt) from Marvel Vs Capcom 3. Thought may help you on model the rest of the armour n such.
