Neo, yea I know about the lip. I originally had it in the model but it will need to be a custom fit for each person since the lip has to be close to your face. It could easily be made out of styrene and made as close to your own head as you prefer.

Looking great though, I will be on vacation all next week, but after that I will try and get the chest piece out to you guys. Looking forward to the progress foxx, keep it up

I just finished pepping your helm as well. I scaled it up 32% as I've always used 290mm (11 1/2") as my total head height (including padding etc.) instead of the original height of 219mm (8 3/4").

I took a picture of it next to my blood dragon mass effect 2 helmet just to compare it. The X helm is certainly going to be wider because of it's proportions, so I'll probably "squish" it in a little on the sides to make it look more human. So far, the height seems right. For me anyways :)

yea helmet and arm cannons are peped and fiberglassed and looking good. will post pics soon.....hows that chest peice coming along? that seems like the hardest part of the whole thing lol

Progress is going slow but still moving. Classes and work leave little free time for modeling, but it is getting there.

The chest piece will most likely be made in a few pieces. I am thinking that there will be a large piece, separate shoulder bells for mobility, and the white trim around the bottom of the chest piece will be separate as well. This will allow you to easily slide the chest piece over your head and then snap yourself in with the white trim pieces.

I will model the trim for you all but I personally would use something like styrene for the white parts. It would just be easier than pepping it.

I won't be able to finish this before the end of August but I'll keep at it as much as I can for those who are building this.

I defiantly want to get the whole suit of armor! Ive been looking around for X's armor for a while!
So how is the progress of the modeling anyway? Your did a great job on the other pieces!

i use Milkshape3D - its a bit harder to use than 3dsMax, but supports most of the same features, and will import .3ds files, aswell as export, and supports anumber of files.

Just giving an update. Most of the chest is done, I just need to clean up the detail work. I'll try and get this out to sometime soon, just bear with me guys

Pep'd, resined, glassed, bondo'd in the last two days. Here is the progress shot... Still needs more sanding and bondo.

Either way, I'm trying to get to this eventually so if anyone has any modeling expertise and wouldn't mind helping out, that would be great. Unfortunately there are no 3D models to rip with and me and my cohort aren't proficient 3D modelers...

That would be the successor to my old Megaman Zero Costume. I love the Megaman Zero series for the GBA. Unfortunately I made that before I discovered the wonders of PEP so it would have come out a lot better.

I'm actually going to end up redoing the armor almost completely with pep because I found a good 3D file for it. That won't be for a while though.

hey man, i'm loving the work. i've actually been thinking about making two megaman suits for my little brothers. keep up the work, i'm looking forward to seeing how the chest turns out!!

i plan on trying to get alot of work done on them over the next few weeks, these are just the rough drafts, i'm a noob to the 3d modeling side of pepakura :D

Thanks, I'd love t o lend you a hand, but I can't get a copy of 3dsMax

It's a shame no one ever finishes these though, the closest one to finished was the Volnutt suit
