Mattel Ghost Trap?

They shipped mine today, even though I'm 30 miles from them , they first sent it 500 miles north to Sparks, Nevada.

Ha! Mine started in Ontario, CA and ended up in Nevada. I'm in North Carolina. Now sure why going that far west would be a good idea.

So it looks like mine is shipped, supposed to be here by Tuesday. Strange thing is, my credit card charge is gone. Not sure whats going on, but hopefully they don't cancel it. Card is clear and with enough funds. UPS notes "origin Scan" as of today. Anyone else run into that issue?

Most likely the location everyone is seeing is their distribution center, so it is not really about how far away you are from them since pickup would be a logistical and organizational nightmare. Everything else is the transportation network of the shipping vendor and their hubs.

The PKE meter replica is a good replica because the original prop was plastic too.

That really wasn't my point. Although plastic, the PKE didn't look plasticy. The Trap could've been given a matte finish on the plastic bits to make it appear less like plastic (at least, the photos I've seen the black has a certain uncharacteristic sheen to it, and the silver has a odd pattern to it).

I just feel that a better paint application could've been applied, that wouldn't have pushed the pricetag up by the inclusion of metal parts.

A pack made of plastic would be easy to attach to a frame. Would take a few minutes and it would be wearable.

It'd be more than "a few minutes". It took me more than a few moments just to drill the A.L.I.C.E. frame and assemble the parts neccesary to mount it to my Pack's motherboard. 30 minutes to a hour is a more realistic estimate (aside from anything else, you'd need to take said hypothetical Proton Pack apart and then put it back together again.

Plus, I don't think there is any real word on Mattel canceling the figure line.

They cancelled the club subscription for next year, and have announced a reduction in the number of figures for 2012 (plus have remarked on a number of occasions that the line isn't selling as well as they'd like). It doesn't seem an unreasonable conclusion that the line could see termination, considering it's already being downsized.

If we're wrong, then that'd be great, but it doesn't hurt to be prepared for a less positive outcome.

yup, mine went from only 100 miles away to 500 miles away and now just sitting there since the 19th.... LAME!

Ok the Matty tracking page SUCKS! I copied the real tracking number and pasted it in google and the UPS tracker popped up and said it's on the truck right now being delivered today, the Matty site says it's stuck on the 19th and still in Sparks.

I ordered 2.
