Can someone tell me about the accuracy of these masks? Stuff looks off.

I was looking forward to these and they actually look decent in these pics...

... but damn if they aren't UGLY in person!

They don't look accurate at all & have a VERY cheap "feel" to them.
(if that makes any sense)

I'm hoping (no, PRAYING) that what was shown at Comic-Con were rough protos & that the prod vers are much sharper.

My wooden nickels worth.
;)

*ss*

That sucks, especially since I know I'm not the only one who has been waiting for these.

MR is really disappointing these days, aren't they?

Feeling them upclose you realize they are way off, no raised webbing or anything, and the black mask was blue, the lense's looked good though

And they don't even have them labeled as protos. When did MR's policy become "We come close enough"?

I don't want to sound like I just came here to knock them, but I really wanted these masks.

As someone who's been following the reproduction of Movie spider-suits for several years now, i can tell you that MR COMPLETELY missed the mark on these masks.

Nothing about these say "replica" to me.
the materials,...
the colors...
the bricks...
the lenses...
printed webs?...
even the SHAPE of the head!

They need to burn this and start over fresh if they're trying to do a movie 3 replica.

It IS however... a nice spiderman 'variation' ;)

There are MULTIPLE private spidersuit makers who have products that look 200% better than these.

Is it just me, or is that blue Spider-man mask supposed to be the Symbiote one? Because if so, um.. wow. :confused

You have hit the mark on this mask note for note. But i would have to say the placement of the eyes is better then i thought it would be lol:lol MR has become a real hit and miss company More miss then hit as of late.:wacko

why even bother to make a "replica" if it's not going to be like what was used on screen. lame...

Bahhh.. I'm glad I didnt preorder this...

Really really ugly and bad mask...

Master replicas is the name of the company ??? I think that if they keep on making replicas like this... they should simply change their name to another more accurate... :(.

I hope they can put a little more TLC in their next products

I thought that these weren't supposed to be "movie" masks, but rather updated comic masks having little to do with the movie?

If not..than yeah, they've got problems. If so, they don't look bad at all.

These pictures are of the scaled replicas right?

As far as i was aware, MR are only doing the full size mask in red and not the black (or is it blue?!?!) mask.

There was talk of a full size comic book edition mask that got put back to 2008 and apart from the MR site, ive not seen any pictures of the prototype Spiderman 3 movie full size mask.

Im confused :wacko

I'd love nothing more than to be able to buy an accurate mask & make my own display!

Anyone know of good mask makers that sell completed masks?
(The 1's I know of sell parts, but you'd have to build yourself from scratch...)

These are the full sized ones.

I saw these up close at SDCC. It would be a stretch to call them "full size." They looked small even for Toby McGuire. THey looked child sized. They had no raised webbing; it was printed on.

If these things sell for $20 or less, it will make a cute shelf display.

I didnt realise that they were doing the black version too. The MR website isnt very clear on their spidey products. Im pretty sure it only lists the red one.

Think i might cancel my pre order now until i see one in person going by the opinions of people who saw these first hand

The most disappointing thing I've heard all day. :angry
