"He’s collar poppin’, scopin’ and droppin’, and rocket-blast survivn’. He’s freakin’ Garrus Vakarian." Haha! Awesome quote!
I watched all of his YouTube videos of him making the costume, and the video of them walking into the doors for the first time. He mentioned that the security there had to keep them moving, since hoards of people were stopping so they could get pictures of them all.
It's an awesome cosplay, definitely some of the best I've ever seen.
Kommissar is right, some of the stuff they did actually isn't their work.
If he had molded the head himself, I would give him more props. I'm impressed that the armor looked that great on his first try, though he could have done so much better if he went back and tweaked some things.
He even admits that he used Sarren's body, rather than Garrus', as an outline for the costume since Sarren "actually has a waist".
He could have done a lot better on the legs. The spike coming out from behind the calf looks kinda small and awkward.
And yes, the armor looks a little small on him. He easily could have filled the dead space in, or just tweak it and make it bigger the next time around. Garrus' armor is bigger than you think!
Overall, a very badass first try. He's inspired me to make a Mass Effect costume for Halloween this year... Or, at least, try to make one. :unsure
I still think it would be awesome if someone cosplayed as Nihilus. I was actually sad when he died in the first game. :cry
