Masquerade

Hey, my wife just won free tickets to a posh Masquerade Ball (it's normally $90/head). It's next Friday, Sept. 24th so we have to rush to get costumes together.

Any good suggestions? I may have to go to a local theater costume rental place and pick some stuff out. The main requirement is a mask, so if anyone can suggest a good place to order two quickly, so much the better. Heck, if you make masks, let me know via PM.

I am so tempted to do the masque of Red Death. :lol

Ok, my wife has apparently vetoed my idea for the Masque of Red Death, which involved me creating latex boils and pox on my face for when I remove the masque. Heh.

Do your own masks. You can find a good supply of mask making items together at Jo-anns fabric and crafts.

We plan to. I was thinking of a simple papier-mache base, strengthened with that clear stuff whose name eludes me as I'm still waking up, groggy.

They have all the bases premade. Even a phantom of the opera base. Just add feathers, beads etc...
